One day warriors saw this plant growing it was called cacao, they picked all of the cacao’s and opened them at there village they saw that there was only white stuff inside so they halved the inside and saw seeds, they said the seeds might be special so they took the seeds and put them into piles before the seeds can spoil then they put the seeds in the sun so they could dry, then they grind it all up into a powder by smashing it with a stone.

The Aztecs would make a drink out of the cacao powder, they drank it but they had needed one more ingredient to make it sweet because it was too bitter and they called their drink xocoatl, and that’s where we got the word chocolate from.

Then they started transporting chocolate around the world and they thought they just didn't want to drink it they wanted to eat it so they made a solid so they could eat it, it was only later when they started to add sugar and it became a yummy treat.
